There are many efforts being made to get this country in shape and change the pattern for our children and one great way of doing that is being sponsored with National Dance Day. This is a day that the country can come together with imagination and creative expression in order to promote dance education and physical fitness.
If you have been following this blog at all you may have noticed that my last post was in November and about turkey. The reason being is toward the end of my pregnancy I just plain felt horrible all of the time. Getting through my regular chores and keeping up with a 3 year old was wearing me out fast.
In the Victorian era tea parties were given by the grandmother to “welcome home” baby after it was born. It was meant for women of the family to gather together and see the new little one while presenting a homemade gift to the mother. It was tradition that the grandmother presented something made of silver for the mother or baby. Typically the baby showers were only held for the first child for the women of the family to share the art of motherhood with the new mother.
