Since cooking is one of my favorite things to do I am always on the look out for new recipes or ingredients.
I have recently been introduced to Nutella, a spread made of hazelnuts, chocolate, and skim milk. I love the taste of hazelnut anything so I had to find some recipes I could use it in. What I found was that the amount of Nutella recipes are endless. There are so many things you can use it for including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert.

These are delicious Nutella Banana Wontons -- Sounds odd, I know, but they are great! So far, this is one of my favorite Nutella Recipes. Just keep reading -- you'll get to the recipe.
Now, it is a little costly but if you view it more as a treat instead of a variety of peanut butter it is worth it, oh so worth it. It is so creamy and rich, perfectly balanced with chocolatey- nutty flavor. You can find several actual recipes online but I want to share one main one and a couple easy ideas I found.
Some Nutella recipes that sounded good to me were brownies baked with chocolate chips and topped with the Nutella for frosting. Another was a grilled panini with Nutella and bananas. You can use it as an ice cream topper or a crepe filling with the fruit of your choice. It can even be used just as a fruit dip or a topping for your waffles.
The recipe I wanted to share though is one I tried already and was sooo good that it was better than I even thought it was going to be.
These are so simple and only took about 15 minutes from start to finish and are delicious — that’s why it is a great recipe.
Here is what you will need:
As if the ingredients were not simple enough, so are the steps!
Fill a regular, non-stick frying pan 1/2 full with cooking oil and let heat up on medium heat. Take all of your wrapper squares and line them on a cookie sheet or counter. (the cookie sheet makes for easier clean up).
Next, take a small dollop of Nutella (like a small Hershey kiss size) and put it right in the middle of the wrapper. Put a thin slice of banana on top of the Nutella and then wet two edges of the wrapper with water on your finger and fold it in half to make a triangle, making sure the sides are stuck together well.
When you have all of your wrappers done make sure your oil is nice and hot and then carefully place them in the oil, turning over when you can see the golden color creeping up the sides.
They should float on the oil to ensure they don’t burn.
It will only take a few seconds on each side so keep an eye on them. Let them rest on a paper towel plate and sprinkle with your choice of topping.
Serve as a finger food or with vanilla ice cream. Makes 24 but can be adjusted to how many you want.
